First of all, I must tell you, that of all of the 23 days we spent in Europe, my friends and I found the tours with your company, to be the very best days we had. Your guide, Kasem in Istanbul was wonderful and we learned so much about Istanbul and the history, of Turkey. Ozan, however was beyond words. He was just fabulous. This man is so extremely knowledgeable, he spoke English like an American, and what we have learned from him is still floating around in our minds. We get together and watch the videos of him talking and are still trying to absorb all the information he gave us. He left us with a totally new wonderful feeling about your country, and we all want to return.
Each of the 6 couples in our group are highly recommending Meander travel to our friends and to anyone else we can tell about you. I am so happy I found out about you on cruise critic and I am posting a four star

After all our correspondence over the internet, I was so happy to finally meet you in person at the boat dock in Kusadasi. It was a most pleasant surprise to have you take time from your busy day to greet my cousin Helen, and me in person, and we certainly appreciated the warm welcome.
From the moment we arrived, the day was just so perfect that I cannot find the words to express how much we enjoyed our visit. I am not sure what I expected Turkey to be like, but seeing the very modern and very large city of Kusadasi was a beautiful sight and a great omen of things to come. First you personally met us at the boat, then you brought us right through customs without our having to wait in line, and I thought
"nothing could be better than this!" When you escorted us out to the personal van, complete with a private guide and driver, I have never felt so special! Our driver, Dogen and our guide, Cana Ceylan Dedeoglu gave us an absolutely wonderful tour
- more than we had ever expected. They were so patient with us in answering all our questions, and certainly helped us to appreciate the history that we have all inherited through the great city of Ephesus. Our day that had started out so wonderful, just kept getting better!
Because of the personal tour, we were able to explore the ruins at our own pace, and not miss a word from Cana with regard to the history. Cana is not only a beautiful girl, but very intelligent and a pleasure to be with. At the end of each tour, The Ancient City of Ephesus, the Basilica of St. John, and the Museum, Dogen was always waiting and ready for our next activity. They were an excellent team! The tour of the rug making company (complete with lunch) was a great bonus and helped us to even more appreciate the fine rugs that are made in Turkey.
Thank you so much for all you have done for us - the day truly was a dream come true!

We are sorry to have taken so long to send you our thanks for the absolutely wonderful visit we had in Turkey. I lost the paper where I had written the name of our guide -- I believe it was Barak -- he was so friendly and made us feely truly welcome. I have always been a fan of ruins and old civilizations, so I was particularly looking forward to our visit to Ephesus. I was not disappointed -- he was a superb guide and gave us a thoroughly fascinating tour. It was a very special experience to walk on roads and sit in a theater and get a glimpse of the way a thriving populace lived their lives two thousand years ago. I was looking at our pictures last night, and the beauty of the day came back to me. And we own much of our great experience to Barak who made it come alive for us. We all enjoyed every stop during the day including our lovely lunch, but especially our visit to the carpet makers. It was absolutely unique experience, and one we will long remember. We had a fantastic tour with Meandar Travel. They met us at Kusadasi and we visited Ephesus, Basilica of St. John and House of Mary. Our guide was Olif and she was FANTASTIC. Very knowledgable, excellent English, very pleasant, very kind. Really liked her. We talked about more than just the ruins and I really appreciated her insights about Turkey and its people. We really learned a lot that day. She kept us on a perfect pace so we saw everything but were not rushed. And she took great photos of me and my son. My son and I have fond memories now of Turkey and Kusadasi. This tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. Thanks for helping me arrange this. All five of us had wonderful time in Istanbul. Our guide Mr. Erkut Deviren and the driver were both very professional and polite. We were particularly impressed with Mr. Deviren's knowledge on the history, the city and his professionalism. We were also delighted to have an opportunity to taste the delicious Turkey food at the lunch time. We just regret we didn't have more time to stay in Istanbul.
Turkey is a wonderful country. Certainly it is a place we would like to visit again.

I feel I must express my delight at the tour we booked through yourselves.
The minibus was immaculately clean and our guide Hakan was waiting for us at
the agreed time. He was informative and very interesting . Even my teenage
children found it a fantastic tour. The Terrace houses were breathtaking and
I'm sure I'll return to the region for another visit in the near future.
Please pass my thanks on to the driver and the guide. My mother aged 79 said
it was the best excursion she had ever had and that it enriched her holiday.
Would you please pass a message to our guide Hakan if at all possible. The I
Claudius Series DVD and Video is available on ebay.uk. It is a site he should be a little cautious with but I have made purchases before and been
happy.

Iwould like to Commend you on your Istanbul Tour that I
arranged with Atinc Gur for 18th May 2007. I can only thank you for such
a good tour. We had a very good Driver in Ayhaan and a wonderful guide called Aisha who took us to all the sites as suggested on the tour. My
dad was wheelchair bound and we were very impressed with the size of bus
you supplied. Aayhaan was very good with Dad and helped him in and out of
the bus. Aisha took us round and explained all the things we saw. She helped Dad in his chair when he could not get into the blue mosque. And
stayed with him after telling us what to look for in the San Sophia Mosque
upstairs. She found the disabled loos in the Topkapi Palace. I congratulate you on giving such a good service and special thanks to Aisha
and Aayhaan who made this trip memorable and so easy. I have recommended

My husband and I and our friends recently returned from our trip to the Mediterranean and from our visit to Ephesus. We want to thank you for your choice of a wonderful guide for us on September 5th. I believe the name of our guide was Hakan ( please forgive me if I have his name incorrect).
We were very impressed with him and his knowledge and helpfulness. He was so kind to me, in particular, as I have to walk with a cane. He made sure that there were places for me to sit whenever possible and took care to make the tour as easy as he could. He was very knowledgeable about Ephesus and Biblical history and that made the tour so interesting for us. We all think that Ephesus was one of our favorite places on our trip and Hakan was certainly our favorite guide.

Thank you so much Meander Travel for the amazing and emotional tour of Ephesus. All of us travel extensively and have taken many tours. The 14 of us agreed that Hakan Edirne was our best tour guide ever, an incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and warm young man-a credit to your company. His family stories and experiences and respect for every place we visited was evident and to be part of this kept our interest and added dimension to our visit.
We have all agreed that we will return to Turkey because of this tour. Most of us were apprehensive about visiting Turkey. Now, we will recommend your country and company to all our friends. Out of the 16 days 14 of us spent in
Europe (Greece, Italy, Croatia) this day was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. We felt we were back in a college classroom being given important information by the most likeable and interesting professor while walking through these incredible historical places. We didn't want the day to end.
Also, of all the tours we took, Hakan was the only one on time, with a microphone so he could be heard and he stood the whole time and seemed truly interested in what he was saying. The bus was comfortable, clean and the driver exceptional.

I just wanted to write to give you feedback on our
tour and our tour guide, Hakan Edirne. My husband and I and another couple
enjoyed a half day tour of Ephesus, the House of Virgin Mary, and the Temple of Artemis with Meander and Hakan. We were passengers of the
Emerald Princess, and were picked up by Hakan and the bus driver at the
port. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the area, and the comfort of the
mini-bus that transported us. As a tour guide, we could not have had a better one than Hakan. His very pleasant personality and patience were
without compare. In addition, his level of knowledge was the best. He made the sharing of his knowledge of the site and the history very, very
enjoyable, and made it all one complete package. We especially enjoyed the terrace houses and Hakan's detailed knowledge of those. We
definitely wished we had a full day tour in order to enjoy the ruins more
completely. Booking our tour through Meander was definitely one of the best things we
did on our whole trip through Europe and the Mediterranean. As I already
mentioned, the tour bus was extremely comfortable, and having a mini-bus
for the 4 of us made us very happy. And the price was very good.
I intend to write a review for one of the many travel websites, but just
have not been able to complete it yet. I will definitely give very high
marks to Meander and Hakan. If we are fortunate enough to travel to the
area again, we will definitely book with Meander again, for both Ephesus
and Istanbul - and will request Hakan as our tour guide for Ephesus.
