DAILY VISIT TO EPHESUS ADD ON
Visit to Ephesus for full day
Transfer to Istanbul airport for your domestic flight to Izmir Adnan Menderes International Airport with Turkish Airlines. Arrive in Izmir following an hour flight and drive 45 minutes to reach Ephesus; once the most important commercial center of the western Anatolia the Asia Minor, Terrace Houses; also called "the houses of rich". The House of Virgin Mary where she spent her last days (if required), Ephesus Museum; exhibition of the artifacts found in Ephesus, The Basilica of St. John; believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill three hundred years after the death of Saint Paul, and the one of the seven wonders of the world; Artemision. By the end of touring continue to Izmir airport for your return flight to Istanbul and transfer to your hotel.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant nearby Ephesus called Selcuk or in Sirince Village depending on your preference where you can taste the village-style cuisine from the region.

About Sirince Village:
This pretty old Orthodox village, 12 km away from Ephesus and 30 km from Kusadasi, was once Cirkince ("ugly"). Indeed its habitants gave this name on purpose as they did not want to be bothered by foreigners nor to share the beauty of their village. As the village is located on the top of a mountain, anyone will enjoy the impressive wine yards' and peach trees' views on his way. |
