Most magnificent gate on these ramparts was the "Golden Gate", which was near to Marmara Sea. This Emperor ceremonial gate is places as victory jewelry between two marble towers.
Armies, Emperor and servants turning from victory were entering to the city from this gate. Turkish period pieces of art, 5 tower addition as well as 7 towers surrounding here had turned into an internal castle.
While it was used as treasury, warehouse and ambassador jail in the course of time, it is another museum of the city with its interesting entrance and "Golden Gate" towers today. Various activities and concerts are performed here during summer months.
