WHAT YOU VISIT
Grotto of St. John - Exiled from Ephesus in 95 AD, St. John the Theologian retired to a cave on Patmos, where he recorded his divine visions in the Book of Revelations. The chapel displays a stone that the saint used as his pillow. A small chapel marks the cave site. |

Monastery of The Apocalypse - Founded in 1088, the monastery perches on a hillside above Chora. A single entrance leads through the 59 foot (18m) high walls. Your tour views the elaborate frescoes and visits the Christodoulos chapel. The monastery's old Treasury is today a museum displaying a stunning collection of jeweled chalices, crowns, crucifixes, vestments and manuscripts. |

Chora - Stroll the narrowed cobbled lanes of Patmos' main settlement, which lies at the foot of the monastery. Enjoy approximately 30-minutes to explore or browse among the many boutiques, shops and see the sail-driven windmills. Stroll the narrow lanes lined with whitewashed houses. Do not forget to taste ouzo or wine accompanied by mezedes of bread, cucumbers, olives, tzatziki and stuffed vine leaves. |

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Transfer via ship's tender to Scala, a traditional fishing village with gaily-painted boasts lining its quays. Board your private vehicle and travel inland, crossing rolling, barren hills to the island's apex, where you enjoy panoramic views of the countryside and bay. |
